When you started talking about how in WoW you need to bring specific classes for the buffs they bring but not in FF14, I was thinking 'damn you're lucky you started during Shadowbringers' lol.

The biggest difference between WoW and FFXIV on that department though is, that you can just leave duty, change job, go back in, if necessary, while in WoW you need a dedicated, equipped and prepared alt for that. Also doing Ifrit nails in Ifrit (hard) was considered nigh-impossible in Duty Finder, if you didn't have a BLM or SMN for caster LB3. the falling meteors in The Chrysalis (which was meme-ingly hard for a story fight at release) were a joke if you had 1-2 PLDs popping Hallowed Ground before being sucked into the rift, since they could just soak them all on their own without taking damage due to all status effect durations being multiplied by ten when entering, while, when not having any PLDs, it was a frustrating wipe-risk near the end of the fight that – paired with the 'need' of a melee LB3 to kill the fissure in time – made a lot of players instantly leave when being rouletted into Chrysalis.
